Yahoo! News - Intel Unveils New Chips for Low-Cost PCs

Intel's new Pentium 4 processors -- which clock in at 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8 gigahertz, respectively -- are built with the company's hyperthreading technology and an 800 MHz bus system.

Both IBM and Dell are launching models with the new chips that are significantly smaller than standard desktop units. IBM is including the chipset in its new ThinkCentre line of desktops. The entry-level Dell with the new chipset, the 4600, will retail for $799.
