Motorola, Nokia Unveil Wi-Fi Smart Phones

Motorola said the MPx device, which is expected to be commercially available around midyear, comes with up to 1 gigabyte of expandable memory and a built-in 1.3-megapixel flash camera. It is designed to operate on the three main frequencies of the global system for mobile communications, or GSM, standard and on GPRS networks and also supports connections using Bluetooth and infrared technology in addition to Wi-Fi.
