AT&T Wireless and Motorola today announced the nationwide availability of the Motorola MPx200 Smartphone with Windows Mobile software; the Motorola MPx200 is the first Windows Mobile-based Smartphone for the North American market.

Windows Mobile Smartphone operating system; Outlook® - contacts & calendar; SMS; MMS: E-mail; a Web browser in Pocket Internet Explorer (HTML &WAP); instant message capabilities with MSN® Messenger; and even the ability to listen to music and play video with Windows Media® Player. In addition Clearvue viewer for Word, Excel; and a third party software application to run PowerPoint. SD card support for storage of audio, video, and any other files; and the SD slot supports SDIO, meaning it is able to use accessories that plug into the SD slot besides just memory cards (e.g. bluetooth SD card with wireless keyboard). Security via SSL, WTLS, PPTP. Active sync to your PC for calendar, contacts, e-mail. Infrared file exchange. In addition, users can transfer important files from a PC to the Motorola MPx200 using a mini USB connection, wireless Internet service or IrDA port. (AMAZON $299 only $179 after rebate)
