SanDisk (nasdaq:SNDK) announced the 1-gigabyte SanDisk Ultra CompactFlash card ($329) that is capable of a sustained write speed of 6 megabytes a second.

SanDisk's line of Secure Digital cards, more commonly known as SD cards, also has its own Ultra line, with capacities topping out at 512 MB ($219). These cards are capable of sustained write speeds of 2.5 MB per second.
