Google logged 16.1 million search hours in October 2002, while Yahoo! (nasdaq: YHOO - news - people ) netted 6.6 million hours, Microsoft's (nasdaq: MSFT - news - people ) MSN had 5.2 million hours, and users spent just 2.2 million hours on Ask Jeeves (nasdaq: ASKJ - news - people ). The site is doing fantastically well financially too: One estimate has fiscal 2002 profits at $100 million, and a IPO is rumored to be in the works.
