Google Goes Blog-Crazy

NEW YORK - Get ready for the third wave of blogging.
With its acquisition of Pyra Labs, Web-search juggernaut Google.com apparently sees dollar signs in the business of letting anyone easily publish their comments and thoughts on the Web.
In 2002, Google had estimated sales of around $300 million and profit of $100 million. It attracts more than 60 million unique users a month, according to Nielsen/NetRatings, and says more than one-half of its visitors come from outside the U.S.
